Class Descriptions for 2018-2019 season

Ballet Stars

Boys and girls ages 2.5-4.5 yrs old, dance together exploring rhythm and movement, strengthening balance and basic coordination skills, and experience their first glimpse into a classroom environment. Children will learn some basic ballet terms, work with props such as ribbons, scarves, bean bags, and so on to develop gross and fine motor skills, and work on following directions while also given freedom to explore on their own and dance.  This is a great first introduction to dance and prepares students for our drop-off classes.

Ready, Set, Dance!   &   Ready, Set, Ballet & Tap!

Boys and girls ages 2.5-5 years, introduces your child to the most popular forms of dance: Tap, Hip Hop and jazz. Children within those age ranges have a shorter attention span so we switch the form of dance every 15 / 20 min. to keep their interest. Alma Dance Academy feels that constant encouragement , praise , and fun cultivates a love and enjoyment of dance.
